Getting There

  • By Bus: Take the local bus that goes via Anderson, Wonthaggi and Cowes on Phillip Island. 
  • By train: Use the V/Line coach that runs daily via Grantville, Corinella, Bass, San Remo, Newhaven and Cowes. 
  • By ferry: Hop on to the Western Port Passenger Ferry Service that will drop you at Cowes on Phillip Island. 
  • By car: Phillip Island is a 1.5-hour drive from Melbourne, via the Monash Freeway (M1).

Artwork & Sculptures

Discover Michelangelo’s world-famous David statue covered in chocolate, as well as a chocolate map of the world. Watch out for Dame Edna Everage’s artwork made wholly of over 12,000 chocolate truffles, and another village made entirely of chocolate.

Chocolate Shop

Get a chance to sample the chocolate being created on the premises and even purchase some for the way home at the retail store. Watch out for the chocolate homes. The Chocolate Factory also has a cafe where you can wind down after the sugar rush.

Chocolate Making & Waterfall

Meanwhile, also catch the world's largest chocolate waterfall, with over 130 kgs of chocolate flowing every minute.

  • During summer vacations, it is advisable to purchase your tickets online in advance as the factory is a favourite destination for school excursions. 
  • Don’t forget to grab your free chocolate sample at the entrance of the factory. 
  • The café on the premises does serve savoury items, in addition to chocolate. 
  • Entry to the retail store and the café is free of charge. 
  • Free on-site parking is available.
